The Challenge: Dynamic event concepts and the need for crystal-clear reporting
With the successful Joe Parad’ice concept, DPG Media creates a large-scale, vibrant meeting place centered around radio station Joe. For Niels (DPG Media) and his organizing team, this brings unique operational and administrative challenges. The event is dynamic: the offerings at the bars change throughout the day, and specific promotions like a 'happy hour' must be implemented flawlessly and without delay.
In addition to smooth operations on the floor, a media player like DPG Media places the highest demands on data and administration. The absolute decisive factor in the search for the right platform was the need for extremely transparent reporting at all levels. On the one hand, the data needed to be perfectly usable for the operational caterer on the floor (stock management, volumes), but on the other hand, it had to seamlessly align with the strict, detailed requirements of DPG Media's internal financial department. Finally, they sought a way to utilize the fixed point-of-sale terminals more intelligently, both commercially and communicatively.
The Beyond Ordering Solution
Following successful support for the 2024 and 2025 editions, DPG Media and Beyond Ordering are preparing the 2026 edition with a highly customized platform:
Interactive Fixed POS with Dual-Screen
The bars are equipped with fixed screens linked to a second, customer-facing screen. This offers visitors 100% transparency regarding their order. From a commercial and organizational perspective, this is a huge asset: the screen is used live for Joe Parad'ice's own branding, programming, artist announcements, or partner visibility.
Easy Switch in Offerings (Glass vs. Reusables)
Operational flexibility is maximized. During the day, Joe Parad'ice serves drinks in glasses, but by evening, bar staff can instantly switch the system to reusable cups, including a deposit. The transition is seamless and immediately adjusts the checkout flow, including deposits and refunds.
Flexible Price Lists for Happy Hour
Temporary promotions or specials, such as a happy hour, can also be activated with just a few clicks. The offerings and price lists adjust in real-time across all terminals, without interrupting the bar's workflow.
Transparent Custom Reporting
Beyond Ordering's reporting module provides comprehensive answers for all stakeholders. The operational caterer adjusts at a daily level, while the finance department receives a fully customized, transparent export that perfectly aligns with internal accounting. We can work very custom.
The result: Custom management and a flawless data-driven partnership
Beyond Ordering's deep integration ensures a perfectly streamlined event structure:
Optimal synergy between operations and finance
No administrative friction or manual Excel reconciliations afterwards. The custom reporting serves both worlds flawlessly and automatically.
Added commercial value
Thanks to the dual-screen POS terminals, sponsors gain a prominent, valuable spot at the point-of-sale, significantly increasing the event's marketing value.
Effortless operational transitions
Whether it's the switch from glass to reusable cups (with QR refund processing) or a real-time price change, the system supports Joe Parad'ice's dynamic operations without generating errors on the floor.
